I have a rule for what I listen to in the car: on the morning commute, I listen to a podcast to get my brain thinking in the morning. On the way home, I listen to music to decompress after the day and transition to home life.
Over the course of the past month or so, though, I quickly exhausted all of my podcasts because I had several trips. I went to Baltimore for my grandfather’s 80th birthday, to mid-Michigan to visit a friend who was on the mainland from Hawaii, and Milwaukee last weekend to see a friend from college who was performing in Legally Blonde. All three trips were just what I needed.
Without any podcasts to listen to, and quickly bored by music, I decided to open the Libby App and look for an audiobook. I have a long list of non-fiction titles on my TBR, the best genre for audiobooks. Unfortunately, all were checked out. So, I picked the first one that piqued my interest: Cloistered: My Years as a Nun by Catherine Coldstream.
